Noorie's Number Platoon

Friends here we'll tell about Noorie. After reading about Noorie don't forget that bellow there is a game for you. If you go for the game and complete the exercise, you might win an exciting prize also. For that you shall have to send us your exercise so that we can publish your names and send you your prizes. But before that enjoy the story ...

Noorie caught her puckered reflection on a pool of dew drops. She stared deep, trying to ignore the reflection of the sky and beesand the canopy of wildflowers atop her hyacinth home. Tiny red and orange pollen, losing their way in the previous night's winds, lay flatly at the bottom of the pool.
One two...four five six

She counted on her fingertips, and then on her toes, till she ran out of space to count.
Noorie was perplexed. She wanted to know how pollen grains flew with the wind. She heard stories of invisible gossamer wings flower queens painted on pollens. They were quite unlike the steely glass wings of wood nymphs like herself.

She wished hard to gather a few grains from the depths, dry them by the noon sun, and see for herself if the stories she heard were true. Noorie was a realist. She held a proud chin in the wood nymph communities in matters of actuality. She liked to see things for herself, not easily believing the tales floating around the hyacinth village, carried from lands far away by grandpa toads. Deep in the night when cicadas roared loud Noorie would sit on lily buds and wonder at the vastness of everything, the sky and stars in particular, made more wondrous by the darkness.

She loved the mystery of numbers and how they stretched on and on without losing definition.

Staring at the pool now, she felt a bond with the lifeless pollen sleeping in the depths of water. She waited eagerly for nighttime to arrive, waited for the infinity of stars to twinkle upon the pollen bed and light up their gossamer wings.
